Remember, remember, the fifth of november.
Gunpowder treason and plot.
I see no reason why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

Gonna watch V for Vendetta tonight XD

I guess I could post a quick LJ right now since it has been a while.

The guy who hit my car never called. I am utter failure when it comes to that, but now I know for next time and shouldn't get screwed over next time. Shaun pounded out the dent and it looks better, but obviously not perfect and it will probably rust. Oh wells.

Errr... Been sick for the past two weeks almost. But I'm finally almost completely recovered.

Been playing lots of video games, being lazy and fat, watching movies, and shtuff.

Halloween was a bit of a failure. But probably like 7-8 people actually knew who Shaun and I were!!! (the Supreme Kai and Videl). All you DBZ nerds in hiding, I salute you! But ya, Ryan's party was a bit of a bust, so Shaun, Bryan, Candice and I left before 10. Bryan went home, and the other three of us went to Sarah's place and hung with her and Tom for the rest of the night. That was good.

Finally met Kelly and Gary's teeny tiny baby Greer. And Kelly gave me a bunch of dog stuff she used to sell that she had leftover and said I could try selling it for fundraising, just give her 25% profits. Which is awesome! XD Monies for win.

School, still doing spectacularly, though I do have the mid-school itch to not do it anymore. Just wanna be lazy and do my own thing. Just had my last midterm today. Still have like 5 quizzes this month though.

Uhhhh... I've been obsessed with the fish lately, lol. The angelfish seemed sick so I left a message on a forum here on LJ and we were supposed to be siphoning this whole time. And when we did, my oh my, was there ever poop in that tank. I can't wait till next monday so we can do it again and the tank can actually finally be clean. Also confirmed that our suckerfish is indeed an Albino Pleco when we went to the Aquarium store yesterday. That and this weekend I'm thinking I'm gonna buy one or two snails for the betta tank since it's getting pretty algae-ful in there. I cannot wait till the day we have like a 250 gallon tank XD *squee*

With video games, I beat Boom Blox (didn't get all gold, but I did decent). I'm trying to beat Mini Ninjas and Mariokart wii (which happens to be sooooooo much harder than the one for gamecube). Kinda given up on Animal Crossing, though I did finally pay of ALL of my debt *glows with pride*. And Shaun made me play some Dead Rising, which wasn't bad lol. HACK N SLASH ZOMBIEEZZZ!

This weekend? Open house for my mom's store on Friday night, then lazy day and probably buying snails on saturday. Work on sunday. Not going to school on monday, then riding with Sarah that afternoon. Then work tuesday and wednesday (Remembrance day).

Woot woot! Chugga chugga chugga.

Bogus Shmogus
This week has been going by slightly slowly. But I've been keeping busy.

Decided I'm only taking Zoe to the vet tomorrow to save $75 on that. I pick up my consignment cheque, sweet, another $83 for me. Labs this week have all been really boring and have dragged on forever. Though cows are most certainly cute. Shaun has been studying hard for his finals. His major final is tomorrow, cross your fingers and hope he passes! Didn't go to hot yoga on tuesday cuz Sarah was feeling sick.

Now the main thing I wanna write about to get it out of my head for a little while at least!

Last night, went to the Walkabout pub on Whyte with Sarah and Mindy and we had fun. Mindy got drunk, and we all talked while eating tasty tasty wings. Eventually we left, with Sarah and I trying to support Mindy and keep her from swaying all over the sidewalk, lmao. (She's a lightweight from her inexperience with alcohols). We managed to get her to my car, we sat on the curb for a while then eventually got into the car to go home. Mindy needed to pee and asked me to stop at the McD's off gretzy and 82ave so I did. She went in, came back out, got in car, I start backing up. I noticed the guy in the truck not in the stall right next to me, but two stalls over was backing up. So I was partially backed up, and waited for him. He kept backing up turning his rear towards me. He didn't stop. I thought "shit, he's not stopping" so I try to get back into gear and pull foward but I wasn't quick enough. He friggin hit me!!! ARG!!!! I was SOOO angry. Problem number one right there >.< So I pull back into the stall get out, look at it, and yelled at the guy a bit. So whatever, he was kind of an asshole, tried to blame it on me but I think he accepted that it was his fault. He didn't want to go through insurance and said he would pay cash, he knows a guy who can fix it, blah blah blah. Problem number two... we only exchanged names and phone numbers... I was kinda blinded by my rage and didn't really know how to deal with this kinda situation and I didn't ask for any other info. I didn't even take his license plate number and I now feel so utterly dumb. He said if he doesn't call me by friday night, that I call him. His name is Rob Twelvetree. The number is a real number cuz Shaun tried calling it last night. I'm just so worried that I might have screwed myself over. What if the guy gave me a bogus name and number. Or what if I never get a hold of him again. So dumb!!! *smacks self in face* what if, what if, what if. *sighs* All I can do now is wait till tomorrow night and hope he calls. Shaun said if we can't get a hold of him, we will file a police report. Also, me being all worried and shtuff. I searched the name on facebook and whitepages... there is someone by the name of Rob Twelvetree, but according to these sources.. he lives in Grande Prairie o.O

Please, please, please call!!!

Disappearin' the Cow
Everyone loves magical trevor, the tricks that he does are ever so clever. Look at him now, disappearin' the cow, where is the cow, hidden the cow! Takin' a bow, it's magical trevor... and that's as much as I can sing by heart XD. Been obsessed with silly things like that this past week. They include Secret, by adam sandler ( vids.myspace.com/index.cfm), www.shutupwormangetonmyhorse.com, and the magical trevor songs XD Fun stuff lol

So, anyways, the midterm mayhem is finally over. I haned in my paper last thursday, I hope I did a good job. Had a quiz in companion animals which was easy, then a midterm in nutrition which was so-so. Today, just had my animal health midterm, and some of the questions were kinda vague... but that's to be expected since this is the first time this class has ever been done. I sure hope I did good on all of them. *sigh* Now, my next thing is my companion animals paper due next friday, which might be annoying cuz their instructions for that paper are SOOOO vague. Blah, whatever.

Also, I am taking my buns to the vet this friday. Zoe's eye isn't looking too good and I wanna know if it's actually causing her harm or anything. That and they seem to be drinking a lot more water than usual so I am getting them both checked. $75/rabbit... just for the exam. Unforeseen costs!!! ARG! I really hope I can qualify for some bursaries and whatnot in december. It would really really help. >.O

Gavin left this weekend, Saturday night at midnight or something. He has gone to Manitoba for good, so Shaun and I hung with him for a while on saturday night, and saw him off. Hope everything goes well there :) He arrived safely, which I know cuz he texted me. I'm happy for him :)

I wanna go to the farm of fear this weekend! (http://farmoffear.com/) Friday night peeps! It's open 7pm till 10pm. :) I believe it actually includes the corn maze, judging from the pics. That and a barn and other buildings. Sounds fun! I'm ready to scream XD lol

My daddy's bday this weekend too... and I haven't gotten him anything. Should probably text byron and ask if theyre getting him anything.

Weeeeee. Oh, and Shaun is being silly, cuz I happened to comment on Gerard Butler's nice abs in Law-Abiding Citizen, he's all obsessed about that and wants Gerard Butler abs now. *rolls eyes* silly boy :P

Last Friday night, I went to an Owl banding thingy. Emilie was gonna go with me, but then she was exhausted from studying and being up since 5:30 that morning, so I went by myself. But it was cool, met some cool people. Ashley a girl who has been in a buncha my classes happened to be cousins with the girl I was talking with, Amanda. We all chatted most of the night. Ashley raises her own chickens XD SOOO COOL! She's 4th year an sci I believe, and she pretty much dashed my hopes and dreams of getting into Calgary by telling me what the Calgary rep told the pre-vet club last year. She told me that their emphasis is mainly on the required pre-requisites, which means I would be screwed cuz I got a C+ in Chem 102, which is one of the pre-reqs I'm pretty sure. But I looked at the website, and I don't think they are that focused on the pre-reqs anymore, cuz Ashley told me it was a huge deal to some people, and people like stormed out of that meeting. Oh wells, it's not gonna stop me from trying :)

I'm back in my groove! I got friggin 94% on my welfare midterm, average being 79%. Tied one other person for top mark. And that makes me so happy!!!

I haven't gotten below 80% on anything else either, I don't think, including quizzes and assignments. A little worried about my welfare paper that I haven't even started though....

Weeeeee

Ahahaha, so cute!

www.simonscat.com/

They showed us one of these videos in my welfare class, and all of them are just adorable :)

You betta dance!

I just don't feel like doing any sort of school work this week >.o

We slept at my house on sunday night, like we normally do, and then Shaun told me on monday that it looked like there were less bubbles in Philip's nest. So, I'm all NOOOO!!! And now I wanna sleep there every night to make sure that they get fed and the light gets turned on in the morning, lol. Cuz Philip is working so hard! :) C'mon, baby bettas!

Other than that.... I'm trying to rake in some monies to put towards my credit card! My dad had another talk with me on sunday night and asked if I need money, and I said I don't need any, I'm just trying to pay off as much of my credit card as I can. So the next day, after supper, he calls me downstairs, and hands me an envelope full of money! He told me he was gonna give it to me at x-mas, but he thinks I need it now. It was the money he had gotten from taking the bottles from the richy people apartment building he works at downtown all summer. A whole $305 smackaroos! I was so happy and thankful :) Then Shaun was all helpful too and scrounge all the change he could find from my house and his, and we came up with $40 from that. Then we went out and collected bottles from my aunts and Byron and Tash, only got about 5 bags full, but any amount helps :) So I was really happy and grateful after that. And Shaun even came to my soccer practice too, and got to play goalie during the scrimmage and have my team gang up on him, lol. So ya, overall, by the end of this month, I figure I should have my credit card back down to $7000.

Wants to have a party this weekend! Cuz Sarah's boyfriend is coming to town for once (he never comes here >.<), and I've only met him twice, and he's a cool guy. And Sarah and I want it to be a themed party, basically so the girls can be whores. I even switched my work day to saturday instead of sunday so we can drink saturday night and I don't have to go to work with a hangover (always a plus :)).

School is lazy this week. I have a little quiz tomorrow morning, and I really really should start working on my welfare paper this week. Needs to be between 3 and 4 pages long, not including references. *sigh* Ok, I should probably go to class now XD

Cross your fingers for baby bettas!

Who sleeps in bed next to you?
Shaun, and if not him, then Puddles for part of the night.

What’s one of the strangest things that has ever happened to you?
Since I am no good at sifting through my endless supply of strange things that have happened to me, I will mention the one that happened yesterday. Wuz looking for spandex shorts in my mom's clothes chest yesterday so I could borrow them for hot yoga. Wuz digging deep cuz my mom hasn't worn her exercise clothes in a while. Came across a baggie. It had a pack of zigzags and 2 metal pipes in it!!! I was all like "OMFreakingGOD!" Cept not really, I was just so utterly baffled and confused that it took me like 5 minutes just to realize what I was looking at then another 5 minutes to wonder why in the world it would be there. I smell it, didn't smell used at any time recently, but it had definetely been used at some point. My best guess is that it was what my parents confiscated from Byron all those years ago when he was in grade 10 and I didn't even really know what drugs were yet. That or my mom or dad are pot heads, lmao. MIND BOGGLING I SAY!

What kind of type of reading material do you prefer (books, magazines, newspapers, comics, etc)?
Anything about animals, fiction generally fantasy or anything involving animals in any way.

If you could see one band in concert right now, any band, dead or alive, which would it be?
RHCP again, without the drama involving Steven and a better view of the stage XD

What's really creepy?
Creepy is like that old homeless man that will watch you through your bedroom window at night. WHICH IZ WHY YOU MUST CLOSE BLINDS!

What item(s) should you be completely embarrassed to own (but you're actually not)?
Either my goody drawer or my numerous versions of pokemon that I own.

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Completing video games :)))

Where would you like to go right now if you had enough money?
AFRICA! Oh wait, I am! But not for another 8 months, and technically I don't have the money LOLZ

What are you most excited for?
Weekends are win

What websites do you always visit when you go online?
LJ, gmail, eclass, university webmail and maybe FB.

What was the last thing you bought?
A 5 class pass for hot yoga. Awesome stuff.

What's your favorite season?
I love them all, or more so the transition into each season. change is good.

Does the weather affect your mood?
Sometimes, especially if I haven't really seen the sun for days.

What is your zodiac sign?
Gemini.

Do you want to learn another language?
I'd like to be bilingual french/english.

5 things (not people) you can't live without?
Animals, exercise, cookies, ambition, and social interaction.

Do you have any siblings?
Two older engineer bros

What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?
"lets get drunk!".

What's your earliest memory?
That's hard... my early memories are not in chronological order... I'm gonna say this one time in our old house when my dad was home, my mom was supposed to be coming home from work, and there was a thunderstorm and I was all scared and stuff. But I waited for my mommy and I think the power went out that night and we needed candles.

Say something to the person who tagged you?
"You iz short. Like me!"

Ok, now for an actual post on what has happened since my last actual post which does not reference a pleasant experience. Therefore, I need a pleasant experience of the past 3 weeks to be recorded. *nods*

Went for a horseback ride with Sarah that first weekend at Chris', got uber sunburnt, but loved every minute of that 3 hours. Also resulted in severe chafing of ass on seam of jeans due to wearing a thong. For future reference: do not wear thongs for riding. Spent rest of the weekend working, relaxing, video games, etc.

The rest of the next week at Chris' place was pleasant, come home to Shaun, make supper, enjoy the privacy, blaze a couple times. One of those times, Shaun greened out for the second time ever. Not pleasant at all. We did do a freakin lot that night though, lol. It was so hard to do anything. I did eat all my green jello that I made though. And after I cleaned up Shaun's puke, got the bed ready for him and put him to bed (which was like 10:30), I wasn't really tired yet. But I stood there in the dark (it didn't occur to me to turn on the lights), ran to the kitchen, grabbed a babybel, ate it while standing in the dark, trying not to look at anything for fear of seeing something in the dark, then crawled into bed too, lol. Irrational fears for win! That week, I also went to the first pre-vet club meeting. Was cool enough, won a USB pen which is awesomes. Got raped at 5 in the morning, which was also awesome. lol.

We went swimming with Nick and Michy that weekend, then watched Fluffy Cumsalot, a documentary about porn star names. Was a fun night. Then saturday morning worked, and found out Kelly had had her baby on that earlier monday I believe. Then came home, hung out with Shaun till people came over for board game fun. We played Cranium, Whoonu, Twister, and Taboo. Guys kept kicking the girls asses, but we were short one person. :( Worked the next day again, and I think we went to see 9 that night. I enjoyed the movie, it was a different concept and approach to a children's movie. It did have a couple of gaps in the plot, but overall was good.

Cleaned up the apartment and moved out the next morning cuz Chris would be home that afternoon. Zinny, the turtles and the newts survived us. As well as the plants. That week was a whole lot of studying, preparing paper topics, dealing with period and another stupid UTI from being lazy while blazed. *sigh* But the Divacup works fantastically, which is awesome. Also kept dealing with my issue over feeling like Shaun wasn't paying any attention to me when I would want to talk. I don't care that he plays lots of Halo or other video games, but when we are not playing games, it would be nice to carry on a conversation. Eventually, he got that out of me and felt bad and said he was sorry. Soccer practices began. Etc, etc, etc.

That weekend, on the friday night, I spent some time playing AC, then we went to two car meets and hung around talking to people. I didn't really enjoy it, but I could have been a little more upbeat and happy. It is what Shaun likes, so I should try to be more interested. Finally got home and slept cuz I was utterly exhausted. Worked the next day, which is when Shaun finally found out why I was kinda crabby lately. Did a bunch of my homework, cleaned, played with doggies, etc. Met Kelly's sister who she is super close to, but her sister lives in ontario I think. Saturday night, we ate steak that Shaun made, but it wasn't as well cooked as the last time Shaun did it cuz us girls were too grossed out by the blood pooling on the plates. Then we went to see Inglorious Basterds, which I thoroughly enjoyed partly for the fact that I don't think I've seen a nazi movie that actually has Hitler in it, and because a lot of the movie was spoken in french or german therefore lots of english subtitles XD It was good. Then we played video games, and slept. Sunday, we gathered our lovely friends and headed to the Valley Zoo for free admission day! XD It was Sarah, Candice, Michy, Nick, Shaun and I. Good crowd, we had fun looking at animals, eating food, and maneuvering the other crowds. Eventually, left, took everyone home, back to Shaun's house for more games, then I went home for supper and homework, and off to the Jane Goodall/ Mike Cranfield speech. Dr. Cranfield talked about the MGVP (mountain gorilla veterinary project) and Jane goodall talked about chimps and conservation in general. But now I have seen her before she dies! XD It was a good speech. I went to that with my mom and Janice.

Over last weekend, I bought my plane tickets to Africa. But it ended up being a fiasco that I can't get out of. I used the website cheapoair.com, and it FAILED me! It does not obviously state that the prices are USD, therefore I ended up paying $3000 for my tickets thinking it was Canadian and thinking I was still saving money, but NO, I got charged $3350, which put my credit card over its limit, but I quickly put it back under. I tried to weasel my way out of the ticket, but it was too late. *sigh* oh wells, lesson learned, and at least I have my tickets for sure now. So now with a maxed out credit card, I'm a little worried about money issues. I'm looking into bursaries, scholarships and student loans. Student loans, I'm told, if you qualify for them then you automatically qualify for government grants if you are a middle income family. Which would be $100 a month for every year you are in school. So I am considering that, maybe. For sure, I am applying for a hard-of-hearing scholarship in may, and two other scholarships I may qualify for in March and may. Then there's a whole bunch of bursaries in December/january, so I'm gonna apply for those too. I'm thinking I may collect bottles too for a bit of extra monies.

Also, in school I have made another friend. I'm getting betters at this, lol. Her name is Emilie, she is bilingual, is eccentric in an awesome way, is a bit of an unbalanced extremist when it comes to animal rights (lawl) and she is a lot of fun to talk to. She is in my companion animals class and my nutrition class (which both have labs), so basically I spend a lot of time with her. I also have spent a lot of my breaks with Candice, which is always fun.

Speaking of companion animals, I am quite enjoying that class. Especially the labs. The first lab, the ERAS (edmonton reptile and amphibian society) came in with a giant green iguana, a huge boa constrictor, two baby snakes, a box turtle, geckos, etc. It was very cute, I loved the geckos and the baby snakes. Then the next week, the EPPA (edmonton pet parrot association) came in and I LOVED this lab. An adorable 5 month old baby caique parrot sat on my shoulder for a quarter of the lab, and the whole time he was pulling my shirt and my hair, ruffling my fair with his feathers, climbing on top of my head and around my back. He was absolutely adorable. I definetely want one or something similar to it one day :) Last weeks lab was a visit to the horse race track. It was a super hot day so it was a bit excrutiating, but interesting nonetheless. And yesterday, the lab was on search dogs, and they actually had two of the dogs here and showed us how they search and what is involved with it all.

Other than that, all my other classes are still going well. Just had my first welfare midterm which went really well I think. Could have done better on a few of my assignments. Did awesome on my physiology labs and quiz. Did awesome on my companion animals quiz. I'm shooting for the stars with my marks this term XD

Oh and I've also been dealing with BV this week. Stupid vagina! But I bought some acidophilus which you're supposed to take one orally everyday to maintain good bacteria, and then if the symptoms flare up, insert one. It did help a lot, made the smell go away really quickly (cuz the smell is the worst part of it... smells like bad sushi).

Yupp yupp, things are going good :):):):)

Hot yoga tonight with Sarah (hope I don't die, lol), car place with Shaun on saturday after which we are going to Elk Island for picnic/hike, then hopefully if we have time, we can go to the ERAS show and sale. Sunday, work as per usual. Gotta work on my welfare paper that day, since it is due on the 15th.

And I've decided I want to be Videl for halloween!

relatively easy, cute, and anime! Hoorays!

I feel the need to do this cuz people are PISSING ME OFF. I guess it isn't enough to trust the word of a friend, so I suppose I should provide some solid proof that DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF MARIJUANA IS BAD.

When it comes drunk driving, 25% of all motor vehicle crash fatalities, the driver had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.01 g/dL (one eighth the legal limit) or greater.

When it comes to pot, the percentage of road traffic accidents in which one driver tested positive for marijuana ranges from 6% to 32%. *shocked face*

Attentiveness, vigilance, perception of time and speed, and use of acquired knowledge are all affected by marijuana therefore influencing tracking, motor coordination, visual functions, and particularly complex tasks that require divided attention.

Worse still, marijuana and alcohol, when used together, have additive or even multiplicative effects on impairment

unlike drivers under the influence of alcohol, who tend to underestimate their degree of impairment, marijuana users tend to overestimate their impairment, and consequently employ compensatory strategies.

seven of ten studies cited, cannabis use was associated with a decrease in driving speed despite explicit instructions to maintain a particular speed,

Not all deficits can be compensated for through the use of behavioral strategies, however

Both alcohol and marijuana use increase reaction time and the number of incorrect responses to emergencies

Drivers under the influence of marijuana were not able to compensate for standard deviation of lateral position (SDLP, a measure of staying within lane), which increased with increasing doses of THC. This is a measure that is not subject to conscious compensatory mechanisms in the way that other aspects of driving are. Other studies have found poorer monitoring of the speedometer under the influence of marijuana, increased decision time when passing, increased time needed to brake when a light suddenly changes, and increased time to respond to a changing light or sudden sound. Drivers also crashed more frequently into a sudden obstacle on a high dose of marijuana, although this did not happen at a low dose

Maximal impairment is found 20 to 40 minutes after smoking, but the impairment has vanished 2.5 hours later, at least in those who smoke 18 mg THC or less (the dose often used experimentally to duplicate a single joint).

serum concentrations of THC higher than 5 ng/mL are associated with an increased risk of accidents

patients who smoke marijuana should be counseled to have a designated driver if possible, to wait at least three hours after smoking before driving if not, that marijuana is particularly likely to impair monotonous or prolonged driving, and that mixing marijuana with alcohol will produce much more impairment than either drug used alone

Sewell, R. Andrew, Poling, James and Sofuoglu, Mehmet(2009)
'The Effect of Cannabis Compared with Alcohol on Driving'
,American Journal on Addictions,18:3,185 — 193
dx.doi.org/10.1080/10550490902786934

DON'T FRIGGIN SMOKE AND DRIVE

It is pissing me off how people keep doing this. Especially when it was me or Shaun that hosts the event, and no one seems to pay any heed to our wish that our friends stay safe. I realize that you may feel able to drive since your vision is fine or whatever. But you MUST be able to feel it have an effect on your body, cuz I know I sure do. And an increased reaction time while driving can lead to any number of ugly endings. I don't friggin care if you think your sleep might be uncomfortable, or if you just don't feel like sleeping over. YOU NEED TO. Your life hangs on that balance. I just really don't appreciate that kind of disrespect for my beliefs, especially in something like this. It is as legitimate a belief as they get. Drunk driving is more dangerous, I'll give you that, but that doesn't mean you're any less impaired when you are stoned.

So basically. The next time anyone comes over to use my hospitality to take in some of the joys of marijuana or to just use our marijuana itself and then they try to drive home afterwards. I will beat them down. Just a forewarning.

The Party Animals

Well, I've got about half an hour to kill before I have to leave for the bus, so I shall write!

Not sure if I mentioned in my last LJ, but I found a snail mail pen pal! Her name is MJ, and she's from Spain XD She's writing the first letter and I'm stoked to get it :)

Ok, so school was whatever. I feel awkward in two of my classes cuz they are first year classes and I'm a third year, but oh well! Met up with Candice at lunch one day, and Michy and Royce another day. Go friends! Don't have a midterm or final in one of my classes which is win. Have papers in two of my classes though = not win. Starting today, monday through thursday I'm aat school till 5. *sigh*

Friday, I got off school, grabbed Puddles, drove to Shaun's school so I could have his parking pass and avoid getting another parking ticket, walked to the vet, Puddles got her shot, walked back to car in the pouring rain (twas fun :)), then drove back home. Bryan picked me up and we went to the Castrol raceway. Went and sat with Shandi in the stands, as the three of us watched Mikey, Jake and Shaun race multiple times. It was fun chatting and taking the videos of their races till the sun went down and so did the temperature! I believe it was 4 degrees that night! I was freezing by 9pm. Shaun and Mikey, on their first race, they seemingly tied on the track, but on their timeslip, Shaun beat Mikey by .002 seconds XD lol. Then we got hot chocolate, went to two car meets that failed, then went to sleep.

Saturday, slept in a caught up on some needed sleep and romped. Ate breakkie, went to WEM and had very successful underwear and bra shopping! Got 3 bras and 5 underwears, all Shaun's payment for a dinner he was paying me back for. I got a freakin D size bra! Craziness... Anyways, after that, we searched and searched and searched for little shooter cups with lids, but failed and eventually had Bryan get them for us after his work since he knew where to get them. Then we set up my house for party time, went to my auntie's for a bbq with the family (found out my cousins are not going to Cuba *sad face*), then headed back to my house for party! Shaun Bryan and I set up 100 shots in those little shooter cups (a lot of money out of our pocket but worth it I suppose). Then people started arriving. Men played Halo, women chatted and laughed and groped each other. Later, after counting how many people came, I was shocked and proud! A 21 person party! AMAZING! That's a record for me, I believe.

Anyways, we all did a lot of shots, people loved our k-nex big ball factory, and as far as I know everyone was having a grand time :) Girls kissed (aka Kelsey, me and Michy). Pictures were taken, Kelsey and Jake chugged tequila, which led to Kelsey puking all over the floor upstairs prior to leaving lol. I cleaned that up with Amanda's help. Michy was starting to pass out, tried to put her to bed, but eventually Nick stole her away and they left. Eventually Bryan left cuz he had to work. Shaun got Mikey hammered with many shots in a row before Gavin took Mikey and Shandi home. Eventually there was only Shaun, Sarah, Royce, Jeremy(who passed out on couch), Ashley, Derek, Jordan, Jake, Dylan and the other nerdy dude left, and we all decided to go for the inevitable walk. A bunch of us ran ahead, and broke into Sarah's car (stuck our hand through open window and unlocked), and crammed in there then jumped out when Sarah walked by, lol. Guys climbed stuff and hung from stuff. We all crammed into a bus stop and took pictchars. Got to the field behind 7-11 and everyone wrestling and rolled around and took pictchars. Then eventually we walked back, Ashley and Derek left for home, and people started going to bed. Shaun and I went to bed, and had successful drunk romp for the first time in a while. I believe we went to bed around 4 am.

A very awesome awesome and successful party :) All 100 shots were gone. Shaun and I quickly cleaned up in the morning. People left. We went to Shaun's house for food, then to my cousin's place for him to show us around before we look after the place for a week. (We were supposed to watch the place for 3 weeks while they went to Europe, but as it turns out my cousin is terrified of flying and he couldn't do it. He couldn't eat or sleep and lost 10 pounds in a week. He tried a psychologists, but nothing. Poor guy. So now Kali is going with her best friend and Chris is just going to Moosejaw for a week.) After that... we showered, played Halo, cleaned fish tanks, etc etc all night.

Monday, slept in, ate breakkie with Shaun's family, beat Halo, brought the bettas over to Shaun's house to their new home, did more fish tank cleaning. After supper sometime, we did homework then went for a drive trying to find a place that is part of this game Shaun has been playing. You take your car to the place that someone else took a photo of with their car in the photo and you take a photo there. Then you find another place, take a picture there, and post the photo. Well this was a warehouse. Just the doors. No other clue than that. So we drove up and down yellowhead, but no luck. Came home, watched DBZ, cuddled, and slept.

I never mentioned it I don't think, but my mom, Janice and a bunch of other people got laid off from TGR! TGR is liquidating but still! Anyways, it turned out in favour of my mom and Janice. They have now bought a store! It's called Henry's and it's a similar type of furniture store as TGR with really unique stuff but smaller obviously. So ya, now my mom, Janice and their friend Pam own this store and start it tomorrow. :) I'm proud of my mom :)

I'm much more chipper this week.

I should go brush my teeth.

Lunar games
Starting where we left off, my dinner with Crystal was great :) The restaurant, Matahari, was super tasty and was even cheaper than BP's! It is asian cuisine, too, so really good food :) We chatted, I told her about california, she told me about Japan, and we just talked about random stuff for an hour and a half. Left, went home, slept early cuz Gary had called and left me a message saying that Kelly and his flight had gotten cancelled and they needed me in at 7 the next morning.

And so I did just that. Worked friday from 7 till 9 pm (was originally only supposed to work till 6 but Kelly S. called and said she couldn't come that night). More monies for my pocket XD Also, at work, I discovered alternative to disposable tampons and pantiliners! At www.lunapads.com , they have something called the divacup, which is like a cup that holds your period for up to 12 hours, and to re use it, just empty it into the toilet, wash it, and re-insert XD Less garbage = better for the environment for win! Also, it's probably healthier for people because then you don't have some big cotton sponge soaking up everything in your vag. So, I'm thinking of ordering this divacup along with 2 reusable pantiliners for something like $54. Kinda pricey, but then again, only pay once and no longer need to buy other feminine products.

Anyways, after work, met up with Shaun, Jake and Jake's friend, went to Michy's with alcoholic jello, and Michy and Shaun proceeded to get smashed, but watching tv isn't really the environment for me to feel like drinking >.> so I barely got a buzz going. We walked to 7-11, then walked back, Michy and Shaun passed out on couches, and eventually I made Shaun get up and we walked home.

Saturday, did nothing but play video games all day, walk the dogs at the dog park, go to my soccer bbq and then play more video games. Sunday, more video games! Then a break for supper and hanging with Mikey and Shandi, then more video games at APG! *shock*

Worked yesterday, got paid handsomely, came home, was lazy and watched DBZ, then Shaun forced me to go swimming and I'm glad he did. I did 25 grueling laps, then hot tub and sauna (we keep having to use the dry sauna to dry off cuz we keep forgetting towels XD). Back to Shaun's house, DBZ, then konked out for the night.

Woke up to Shaun's rage because my alarm on my phone didn't go off for him, so he proceeded to swear and punch the door in anger... which always scares the shit out of me.... And he rushed off to school. I stuck around, cleaned his room while I calmed myself down from his ordeal, now here I am.

Today is errand day. Gots to clean my car, inside and out, perhaps get my new plate registration, order the lunapads, already got puddles appointment booked, got stuff to buy, mainly make up, gotta walk puddles and bathe her, get my back pack ready, clean my room, put away laundry then organize my first year notes. Go go go!

Blazing romps

^.^

Saturday night, ended up hanging out with Candice and Michy at Michy's house, where I was the only one who got borderline drunk from 4 coolers. We talked a lot, played a teeny bit of rock band, then Aaron came home and we played I've never for a while. Twas fun times :)

Sunday, woke up with a slight hangover, crammed 2 english muffins into my stomach, and left for my 8am soccer game. Which I scored the first goal in XD We ended up winning and won the whole tournament I believe! Which makes me so happy, cuz my team has sucked this past two years, but this outdoor season we turned it around. We came in 4th place for the season but only 1 point below 3rd and 2 points below 2nd.

After soccer, met up with Candice and we went to the U of A... but little did I know half the buildings were closed. I thought the buildings just never closed lol. But we still managed to sneak around enough to find a majority of our classrooms. And I answered a lot of Candice's questions about school. Then we headed back and had supper at BP's. Good stuff :) I went over to see Shaun, we did a lot of lazing around, then watched a whole bunch of DBZ! It's the world martial arts tournament so it's actually interesting again without gay stupid Saiyaman. I told anyone and everyone who would listen about my skydiving experience XD Shannon told me he's done it too, and that when he went, some guy who was landing flared too early and ended up crashing to the ground breaking both his legs. o.O That would have scared the shit out of me. But alas, everyone is fine :)

Monday, had a lazy day at work, read the first half of Farmer Giles of Ham. It's a cute book :) Searched for a pen pal to do snail mail with from another country. And am slowly becoming obsessed with this 43things.com. Got home, my mom took me back to school shopping for supplies, Shaun reluctantly helped me sort through my second year papers and put them into a huge binder. Then we went to his house to play video games. Gooooo Animal Crossing! I've been doing awesome in that game. I have my second upgraded house and have halfway paid off my third. Have caught tons of bugs and fish. Mostly just need the more special ones I think. Video games are win.

Tuesday, got up, went to work, did a bit more work than the day before, finished Farmer Giles of Ham, the book by J.R.R. Tolkein. Very cute book indeed. Almost a kids book but not really. Started reading Phantom, book 10 of the Sword of Truth series (must give book 9 back to Michy...). It's like all the action that should have been in book 9 is occuring in book 10 already. So needless to say, I have been hooked on reading that at work. Went home, I wanted to walk dogs, so I walked Hiccup and Puddles while Shaun skateboarded. Took them home, watched the Cleaner on tv, then waited around a bit. Good news this night... Shaun's mom and dad not home, I did not have work the next day and we still had blazing material ;) We decided to go for a nighttime stroll. Walked to York park, then towards the mall and up 66 street, then laid down and watched the stars behind J.J. Bowlen, then walked to McLeod park and swung on the swings. I made awesome looking designs while sitting on the swings with my shoes in the sand. Then we went to 7-11, where I had to go in by myself cuz Shaun is all sketchy, but I got him a slurpee and me a Xenergy. Tasty! Yum! Then we walked back towards his house, behind the safeway and finished off the rest of it. Then we went to his house, played video games for quite a while, then we romped. Twice. Then watched tv. And romped again. That's a record for me, lol, three rounds in one night. It was so awesome though! And I was lucky my period had not come yet XD After that, it was time to sleep, lol.

Wednesday, woke up at 8am with terrible cramps and an upset tummy, went to bathroom and took ibuprofen which fixed that right up. Slept till 11. Got up, ate breakfast, played video games all afternoon, went to meet up with Mikey at the Chop Shop (a car body shop), looked at car rims, got dropped back off at Shaun's, ate some food, went to my house to feed animals, back to Shaun's for more video games and by this point I needed a break from AC and played super smash bros, then Mikey and his brother and girlfriend came and we all went to a movie. Decided to see Terminator, which I really enjoyed. It was done awesomely, and Christian Bale is a super actor, and I could not believe it that they tried to create Arnie. There's nothing like the real thing :P They also kinda ruined the "I'll be back" thing. That was all Arnie and the terminator, but then Christian Bale says it all not epic and shtuff. FAIL!

And now we are at today! Started work at 10 and so I'm here till 6. Then I'm off to dinner at a place called Matahari downtown to eat food with Crystal and catch up. Should be good :)

I am feeling so content lately :) A good sense of accomplishment. *nods*

I Skydove!

Oh my god. Soooo amazing! I've wanted to sky dive pretty much since I turned 18, and so have my friends, we just never got around to it. But then it was Tom and Mel's and so the plan went through to go sky diving with a big group of people. The benefits of the big group is that most places offer a discount and just for moral support. :) So we had it booked for each one of us to do a 5 hour course then jump out of a plane solo at 3500 feet, paid our deposit and on august 22, 2009, we headed a half hour west of my city to the sky diving center.

Once there, it was nuts. 8am in the morning and there's already people walking around everywhere, some of the advanced people already getting geared up to go have some fun and all that. We filled out the waiver, saying we understand that we are putting our lives at risk by doing this extreme sport. Then we got a very thorough and detailed ground course on everything we needed to know from getting into the plane, landing on the ground and what to do in case of emergency. By about 3 in the afternoon, the course was done, and our group of about 25 people got split into groups of four, because that's all the plane could take along with the pilot and the jumpmaster.

At 4:30pm, it was finally our turn. Sarah, Tom, a random girl and I got geared up in our jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and parachute gear. Then our jumpmaster led us to the plane. We all climb into the tiny plane and kneel as the plane takes us up into the sky. At 500 feet and a 1000 feet they tell us to look out the window to get a feel of when we should be preparing to land. At 3500 feet, I watch my friends go first because I was the smallest and had to go last. At this point, I was actually really calm and ready to do this.

The jumpmaster motions me over when its my turn and I shuffle on my knees towards the door. He asks me "Are you ready to skydive?". I say "Yes". So he tells me to climb out while he is holding onto my pilot chute. I stick my first foot out the door, the wind threatens to whip my foot away, but I hold it reasonably steady and get it onto the step. Then I put my left hand on the wing strut, then I struggled to get my right hand on the wing strut and needed some help from the jumpmaster. Then out goes my last foot, and I'm standing on the edge of a wheel of a plane. The next step is to move over to the edge of the wing strut and hang on from it, so I do it while looking at the jumpmaster. He says, "look up" and I do it. He says "GO!" and I let go! The wind whips me away and I feel like I'm tumbling through the air and for 5 seconds I forget everything I learned in the course! All I could do was gasp! But eventually the canopy pulls out and catches and I am serenely floating in the air. I quickly regain my bearings, locate the holding area where I'm allowed to float and do turns and whatnot. I remember to do a parachute check to ensure it is all working and it is.

I float along in the air for about 5 minutes, when I kind of vaguely think that the landing area looks a bit different than it did when we left the ground. Later I was told that the wind changed after we took off so they had to move the landing target. It made me a bit disoriented and I could not hear the radio attached to my chest very well, so I steered for the landing area in the way I thought I should. At almost the last minute, I realize I had been aiming for the wrong area, but I manage to get over to where the ground control man is waving at me. The landing process was a little shaky but I ended up doing really well and actually landing on my feet while most people had to tumble when they landed.

Overall, the experience was absolutely amazing! I gained so much confidence and pride in myself after I managed to jump out of a plane and float 3500 feet and land on the ground without a hitch :) I recommend this for ANYONE! An unforgettable memory!

Strip that plane

Doo dee doo!

Smeh, this past while has nothing of real excitement to report on. I have been sick for the past however long, now just have a stuffy nose occassionally and the random cough. Though the strippers were a real blast last thursday :) I got quite drunk, Ashley, Michy and I flashed our boobs to the crowd and got 2 free shots, Ashley did amateur night and got 4th out of 11! Awesome job Ashley XD. Then I woke up sick. Ugh. lol.

Played a lot of Animal Crossing, blazed twice (while sick... I'm brilliant, I know), even go-karted during lol, which was awesome. Chatted with a crazy lady with ADHD who was also probably high, while Shaun talked to car peoples. Exercised, went swimming during which I saw a big black cock XD lmao, *shocked face*. Walked dogs at dog park, watched a brutal movie called The Last House on the Left. Horrible rape scene in that movie, I thought. Watched some DBZ with the Great Saiyaman! Ugh. lol. And last night we had a water balloon fight with Bryan, his sister, Stephanie, and their... cousin? Elise. Twas awesome fun :) Then we all watched Coraline, then Shaun and I went to his house, watched some tv after I played animal crossing, then got tied up, then bed. Said our loving goodbyes this morning, Shucks, won't see each other for almost 3 whole days!

Oooo, we also made our bucket lists! :) I like lists XD I found an awesome website for making life goals, 43things.com. *nods*

I am super stoked for this weekend though, even if I will be so dead tired by the end of it. Vet appointment for Puddles today at the holistic vet, then soccer game at 7pm in St. Albert. Then I intend to spend the rest of the night cleaning my room and getting my school binders together. Then tomorrow, 7:30am, I am getting picked up by Sarah and Mel and Tom, and off we go to throw ourselves out of a plane! I told Shaun that I leave half my possessions to him and half to my family if I die. Then to the Purple Onion with friends for some good times that night. Then soccer game at 8am the next morning, in St. Albert again. Afterwards, I am meeting up with Candice to show her around to U of A and so we can find our classrooms together. We are planning to go out for lunch/dinner or hanging out when we are done at the U. Maybe APG that night, depending when Shaun gets back. A good outlook for this weekend :)

La dee dah! :3

So much for that budgeting... I think I spent nearly $200 last week. >.< But all for good fun I suppose.

Friday, work was nuts. For the first half of the day I felt like I had gone for a really long jog cuz I felt all flustered and felt like my heart was beating too fast lol. I had to do a bunch of pick ups and drop offs in the early morning, then feed 23 dogs, then try to keep the place decently clean for the next few pick ups and drop offs. Then I had to refrain from strangling the boxer and the doberman who were competing to see who could pee in the house more. The doberman won. Fed supper after a long day, then went home, finally found out the whole story about my parents owning a doberman in their younger days, then showered. Then I called Candice and she wasn't busy so we decided to hang out! :) It was awesome times, we talked for like 5 hours straight. Candice looks amazing and adorable now, and she's starting to actually be a bit adventurous! She finally drinks now, and I guess just started going to bars with her work friends. And she's going to the U of A this coming fall so that should be pretty sweet. It was good, and I really enjoyed myself. :) We are going to see each other again two sundays from now so I can show her around the U of A.

Shaun wasn't supposed to sleepover on friday night, but he snuck in at 2 am or something and cuddled me awake. I was so disoriented and confused at first, but then it was really adorable XD We slept till whenever we had to get up, had morning fun, showered, then left for WEM to meet up with Amanda and Joe. We all had lots of fun in the waterpark going down slides and nearly drowning on tubes in the wave pool. XD Then we got out, had some lunch and Shaun and I went shopping. I gots another little backpack/purse with kitties! And a pair of really comfty short shorts. Shaun got $90 worth of clothes from Randy River. XD Then eventually we went to his house to wait for Amanda to be done getting her tattoo and to meet up with them at Moxie's for dinner. Dinner was good, but man was I stuffed. And I got buzzed off a super strong rum and coke there lol.

Sunday, we woke up, chilled out, and eventually went to my house. I have hired Shaun as my personal trainer in exchange for certain services, lol. So he had his first go at being my trainer that sunday, but I needed a harder workout than that after the fatty day from before. But it was good nonetheless. And we walked Puddles, the chunk, in the meantime. Then we showered, and I finished up the pictures and put them in our photo album while finishing up DBZ season 6. Ate some suppers, then headed over to APG. We sat and talked for a while, Shaun had a trial run at WOW during which I feared for my life. Then we all played Demigods and had fun. Then I played insaniquarium and Zuma, then rock band. Good times :)

Willows on the walking wildebeest

Kwik overview of the past week.

Last time I posted, I was trying so hard to remember whose birfday it was, and it just so was Willow's 6th birfday! Remember that, July 30th, Willow's birthday. All my animal friends are getting old :( Cept Kai, he's still young and springy.

Friday, had a short morning at work, where all I did was feed the billions of dogs with Kelly, then stand around chatting to her for like an hour. Then I left, came back, showered packed and lazed around while waiting to leave for camping. Nick and Michy picked us up eventually and went back to her house where we continued to wait. Then her dad came home, and we left. When we arrived, we set up camp, and broke out the booze! woot woot! We managed to get Aaron and Michy's cousin, Jay, I believe, to get drinkin too. Everyone had some kind of buzz going on I'm sure, whereas Shaun was slightly plastered and was on the verge of barely being able to walk. We sat and talked around the fire, then walked to the beach, Michy was loony, guys looked at stars, then we headed back slowly as many guys felt the need to pee in the bushes. Eventually we went to bed, and I was drunk horny for the first time in a long time and it just so happened... couldn't do it. ARG!

Saturday, woke up to a bright day, got up, went to town, ate tasty breakfast made by Michy's cute grandma, and eventually headed for the beach afterwards. We all had a blast having a war over the "trampoline", which was basically just a floaty on the lake. We went for a boat ride, then dropped people off at the beach and went for some water skiing, just me, Shaun, Lorna, Darryl (sp?) and Aaron. Lorna and Aaron showed off a bit, then Shaun went and did awesomely, got up just fine, then I went and failed miserably and wasn't feeling as determined as I usually am, so I quit after 5 tries. Got back to beach, Nick was gone so we walked with Michy back to cabin. Read books, waited for suppers, ate delicious suppers, played sociables, people's started dying or getting grumpies amidst a few arguements and whatnot. Sat around the fire, chatted to Aaron and Jay a lot, encountered more grumpiness and whatnot, eventually went to bed after what seemed to be a very long night.

Woke up to a dreary, rainy morning... Neither of us were feeling too good. Got up, ate breakkie, Nick and Michy said they were thinking they wanna go home, sat and waited to see if weather might clear up, got directions to go home and left. Shaun and I showered at home, then didn't really do much for the rest of the day, watched DBZ and played video games.

Monday, we slept in, and as far as I can remember we didn't do a whole lot of anything. But we did go to my house eventualy and made the Knex Big Ball Factory!! And felt very accomplished afterwards. :) It worked out perfectly and we were a good and efficient team. Then we watched some DBZ and then tv, then went to bed.

I woke up feeling quite sore on tuesday, and it progressively got worse as my day at work wore on. I got a pounding headache, my neck was super sore along with my shoulders and legs for some reason, and my stomach was slightly upset. Twas a long day of work. Ugh. After work, I didn't go to soccer, had a bath with Shaun, ate food, had hot chocolate for my sore throat, then watched tv, then DBZ then POTC. I was feeling quite a bit better by the end of the night.

Woke up wednesday feeling peppy again, Shaun made me breakfast for our 2 year anniversary! A whole two years! I can barely believe it. It's kind of odd, but I guess it makes sense, but everyone around us, their relationships seem to be moving so much faster than Shaun and I's. So I ate my tasty breakfast, then headed for Roxy's. It was utterly dead there, and I started my day by trying to rally a horse back to its pen because it had escaped. Eventually people showed up and it took 6 of us to herd this horse back into its pen. Fed horses, watered horses, failed at quarantine yet again and yet again told no one, lol. Did paperwork in the office, then stood around talking to Sarah for an hour or so. She invited me sky diving with her, Tom, Mel and a buncha her friends. So now I'm going sky diving on aug 22. SOLO sky diving no less. SCARY. But it's gonna be freakin AWESOME! lol. And it just happens to fall on the weekend Shaun is camping with Bryan, so this gives me something to do too XD After work, showered, then went to Shaun's house where he showed me the amazing cake he baked for our two year XD It has 4 layers, alternating rainbow and choco cake, with TONS of icing XD Then we went shopping at Goodwill, and I got a skirt and two shirts, and he got 3 pairs of pants. Then we ate at East Side Mario's with our amazing waiter who belongs at a restaurant much better than there. Then we saw Bruno! Beforehand, since we arrived for the movie like 45 min early... we fooled around sneakily in the theatre. Went home, had fun, talked and slept.

Today, very uneventful. Work went by smoothly. Came home, went to soccer only to have the other team be forced to forfeit cuz they didn't have enough players. And it was even the last game of the season. Came home again, showered, walked the fatty dog, let bunnies out and cleaned hutch, played Farmville on FB, then did my work visa stuff for africa.

Tonight and tomorrow, I'm not hanging with Shaun. It's odd, I know. He's doing car stuff and I'm happy for him :) Tomorrow, I'm hoping to hang out with Candice. If not, I'm positive I will find something to occupy myself with. Then saturday is WEM with Amanda and Joe for Amanda's birfday and she's getting a tattoo afterwards. Dunno what we doing Saturday night. Sunday... is whatever XD

I also discovered that I am actually still doing quite well with my budgeting, even if I include the $165 for sky diving. My credit card might have even less on it by the end of the summer than I had predicted :) Which is all sorts of win. That and I've pretty much decided to sacrifice my social life for the sake of paying off debt. I'm hoping to be able to work saturdays and sundays during school. I'll have to ask Kelly and Gary about it. If I ever want or need a saturday or sunday off, I'm sure Kelly and Gary will give it to me.

And life continues on.

Animaux

Alas, only a month left of summer. I mean, the summer HAS been long enough, but school is too long and expensive to look forward to.

Things have been pretty lazy this past while. Sunday, Shaun and I worked at my work. I had woken up that morning feeling extremely sick to my stomach and laid in bed till I finally felt like I had to go to the bathroom where I unleashed the unholiness from my butt. Yuck. And I blame the red bull, cuz if I drink red bull and just sit around doing nothing, I tend to feel sick. So at work on sunday, I did the work I was assigned by kelly and Gary, then kinda.. supervised Shaun doing his work, lol. He had to scoop all the llama poop and move it and clean the barns. Played the Sims 3, and watched some DBZ that night.

Monday, I went to work, and Shaun came at 10 to pick up the ride-able lawn mower in his dad's truck to take it to a repair shop for Gary. Then I had a very boring and lonely day at work. Monday night... uhh... o.O I'm blanking out and have no recollection of what we did. Wait, that's
cuz I didn't hang with Shaun, I hung with Michy! XD She wasn't busy so Shaun sent me off to hang with her and have girly times. Michy and I successfully baked very very chocolatey chip cookies, though they might be a tad overcooked... the huge cookie should make up for that! We talked about school stuff and whatnot, then rented Quarantine. A very predictable movie, but it was fun to make fun of. Then Michy walked me halfway home in the lovely, slightly rainy night. I miss doing that XD

Tuesday, woke up, went to work, at which I managed to keep myself busy this time. I cleaned, did paperwork, brushed dogs, feared for the lives of dogs as they got attacked by a doberman, etc etc. After work, Shaun came to my house and we ate subway at my house. My car had the "check engine" light on, so my dad was checking it out and I called Roxy's to say that I wouldn't be able to come to work tomorrow cuz of my car, and she was cool with that. We discovered that Puddles HAS gotten chunky. She used to weigh about 16 lbs, now she weighs 19.5lbs! That's a lot of weight for a little doggie. And I refuse to have a fat dog! Must walk dog. So we walked Puddles to the field by 7-11, let her off leash, and Shaun and I kicked the soccer ball around till my foot got sore. We made Puddles run too. Then we headed home. We got back, had one last romp before the week of hell began, and almost got caught. Went to Shaun's house, watched DBZ, then we started watching the Watchmen, but I was super sleepy, so we went to sleep.

Wednesday, woke up, ate some food, finished the stupidly long movie that is Watchmen and before we knew it, it was already 2 in the afternoon. The movie was good, but not as good as it was hyped up to be, I thought. That and I kept getting confused for some reason. I showered, we ate lunch, then Shaun wanted to skateboard, so I went to watch him at the skate park for a while. He is very good at it :) We got back, I played the Sims for a while and Shaun went in their inflateable pool. Then he came down and said he was gonna clean the house for his mom a bit, and I sprung at the opportunity to help! Their house is like... so messy that I can't help but WANT to clean it, lol. So we did a good job tidying up the busiest areas of the house, and it's all sparkly now :) Ate supper with the Harmans, went to my house to feed animals, my car was fixed, then got a call from Shaun's mom. I went to Shaun's house while he went to pick up Nick and Michy. There was a poor stray kitty with a huge wound in its face. It looked like an old wound and the cat looked really sick, so me, Amanda and Margaret left to take it to the Humane Society, which was closed. They directed us to the Emergency Vet Clinic, and we took the cat there and did our good deed for the day. It would be cool to know how the cat is doing... After that, Shaun told me how the grocery shopping for camping went, then we watched DBZ, then I played munchables (and beat it!) and he played the Sims. Then bedtime :)

My emotions have been very touchy lately, which is annoying, and I need to snap them out of it again. Budgeting is going reasonably well I think. I'm hoping to go for dinner with Crystal sometime in august. Sarah is supposed to take me for dinner and a movie as my birthday gift sometime soon.

This whole career thing is still pretty annoying, but a vet seems like the only way to go. And if I'm going to do that, I want to get in there and get out as soon as possible, so I figure I should apply for next year. In february, I have to send my application form along with $100 to pay for the application. Then in March, I send references. Then you're invited for interview in April I think, and then you find out if you're accepted in June. Quite a process. *sigh* I'm also debating joining the Wildlife club at school for $5. There's seminars and volunteer stuff to do. Maybe.

Tonight is soccer, our second last game. We are currently in fourth place, only 3 points below the third place team. This is the best we've ever done since I've been on this team XD After that, I need to take Chunky Puddles for a walk. Perhaps let my bunnies out too. Then whatever, depending on if Shaun is with me or not.

Camping tomorrow. I am excited!!! :)

RIP Beans.

The first dog that was ever really a part of my life. It's sad the way he was sort of neglected for the last part of his life, but I'm sure he still enjoyed every minute of it. A lovely little boy with the stinkiest breath in the world, but he was always happy to do anything.

I finally am confirmed! I'm going to Africa!!!!! WOO HOO!!! May 21-June17. I'm gonna be having my 21st birthday in Namibia. The place I will be at is called the Harnas Wildlife Foundation. www.harnas.org/ I watched all their youtube videos (I need someone to be my ears though, cuz I don't know what anyone is talking about in the videos, no cc lol), and they look amazing. Cheetahs, ostriches, lions, servals, wild dogs, giraffes, hyenas, etc! And I get to do tons of hands on stuff with them. I also read a bit of the volunteer journal on the website, and it sounds like it's very group oriented as well. You stay with the same group of people for the duration of your stay and they make you do team building games and skills, just like at camp. I have to apply for a work visa now though, but Enkosini is affiliated with a place so all I have to do is fill out some more papers, send them in, and they will get my work visa done for me. I'm considering asking my parents to pay for half my airfare with airmiles as a christmas gift. *squeee*

A short sum of other news. Hanging out with the cousins was awesome, but I will never be particularly fond of my aunt or uncle. We saw Bruno, went go karting (and I ruled) and then watched Requiem for a Dream, which is a very depressing but good movie. Shaun bought me the Sims 3 after I played it twice in one day and was obsessed. Shaun bought more fish for his fish tank and moved them over to the bigger tank. I have yet to get myself some fish. My brother is an asshole as usual and my house has been very unpleasant this week. I have bacterial vaginosis... joy. But I don't want to take the medicine yet, cuz it means I can't drink while on the medication. Work at Roxy's was very boring. Hung out with Gavin and Alex, his girly friend from Manitoba and played Zombies. She's pretty cool, I liked her. K-days was good fun with Michy and Aaron. We went on rides, had margaritas then met with Nick. Ate food, watched Cirque Shanghai, got yelled at by some old grumpy man for having bad language, lost money at the casino, paid $6.50 for cheap booze, then went back to Shaun's house with booze to watch Push. Very good movie.

Now to the other main point of my LJ today. Beans is sick. My aunt's 12 or 13 year old yorkie cross, who was like my dog before I got a dog. Last night, I got a voicemail from my mom a half hour late cuz of bad reception in Shaun's room, that Beans couldn't breathe. So my parents were over there, my mom gave Beans some rescue remedy and my dad gave him some children's tylenol. My mom held him and massaged his throat a little till he could breathe and walk again. The worst part is that Janice and Shannon still refuse to take him to the vet. Janice wanted to friggin leave Beans outside last night for some demented reason. UGH! I guess Janice called the vet this morning and they said it's probably that Beans has a collapsed trachea. Though she still hasn't made an appointment with the vet. Stupid cheap people. So my mom told me to look up collapsed trachea. And from what I found online, it does look like that's what he has. It affects dogs his size, it causes his snorting cuz he has trouble breathing, it only kills 1% of dogs though. And the usual treatment is medication that helps relax his lungs and muscles around his trachea. He should have been on that kind of medication for a long time! I wish I could just adopt Beans and Spider from them. They'd probably be happier at our house, where they won't be completely and utterly ignored and cut out of the family.

Epic Rubber Trampin' 2009

On our big road trip, Shaun and I kept a small journal of each day's events. And I have decided I want this journal to be trapped in my LJ forever :)

Saturday, May 16th, 2009 - DAY 1
     Left Becca's house at 5:15am.

Passing through Lethbridge, we realize that our GPS must be failing us. For the fourth time, we have had to pass a station wagon with a canoe. The same exact car. Way to go technology.

Ran away from the T. Rex at Milk River.

Shaun failed at impressing the border guards with his joblessness. We got held up for an hour while our car and stuff was fully searched. Even our cereal boxes were devirginized. I guess we are shady looking characters.

Lucky Becca gets to drive down wind-y roads just after we switched seats. And the sunfire's gas gauge scares me.

We decided to pass on through Salt Lake City and take turns sleeping/driving and head on towards Anaheim.

Sunday, May 17th, 2009 - DAY 2
After Shaun drove from 9pm till 2am and Becca drove from 2am till 5 am, both of us taking on the dark, lonely roads of the night, we arrived at Las Vegas. Four in the morning with the time change, and the city was mostly settling down for the day, but we still took in the spectacular lights and sights of driving up and down the strip.

After 29 and a half hours of driving, we arrive at the Little Boy Blue Motel at 10am(pacific time). The motel is actually very nice for $40USD/night! We're here!!!! (Though it is very smoggy today...).

We went to see Angels and Demons at the Gardenwalk mall across from our motel, mostly just to get out of the heat which we were not used to yet.

Monday, May 18th, 2009 - DAY 3
Last night at 8:39pm, there was an earthquake!! It wasn't big, Becca found on the net that it was only a 4.7. Still really cool.

We lazed around till about 11am. After gathering our things for the day, we left towards Outer Limits Tattoo shop in Anaheim. We both liked the place and set up to get our tattoos next tuesday.

After that we drove to Newport beach. Rented two kayaks and paddled between all the rich houses with their fancy boats. And we saw a sea lion! An hour and a bit of kayaking left us both roasted for the rest of the day.

We ate MASSIVE burritos at a random mexican food place near Newport Pier. Did a bit of shopping and walked up and down the pier where many people were fishing. There was also some kind of shark, alive and somehow tied to the pier!

Walking along the beach, we decided to swim! The water wasn't too col and we had a great time jumping the waves. When we left Newport, it was about 5:30pm... rush hour, but we managed to avoid the worst of it with the carpool lane!

Wandered the Anaheim marketplace, a humungous swap meet. I bought a shirt and we went to a grocery store to get aloe vera and more groceries, then back to the motel for the night.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009 - DAY 4
Left Anaheim at 8am... traffic! But thank god for carpool lanes because we still made it to San Diego Zoo at about 9:30am. We bought the 2 park tickets for both the zoo and the wild animal park.

First thing we did was take the air tram from one end of the park to the other from some awesome aerial views.

We saw polar bears, boars, monkeys, giraffes, lots of birds, hippos, rhinos, and it was all cute and amazing. Sadly, we didn't move fast enough to see the whole zoo and still have time to do the Wild Animal Park.

Left the zoo around 1:15pm, arrived at the Park around 2pm, and just barely missed the last segway tour.

We were both cooking in the heat, but we replenished our energy with some food and started walking. Fed some ducks, fed the lorikeets (and they made out on my arm after they finished eating...). We did a lot of walking and boiling, but overall it was all amazing of course.

We left around closing, bought some more groceries, ate supper at our motel. Swam in the tiny pool at our motel to cool off. Tried to go see Star Trek in Imax but the movie ended up not working. We went to sleep around 11:30pm.

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 - DAY 5
Woke up at 10, got ready and left for L.A.

Tried to stop at Long Beach, but the Nav failed on us and took us to a nowhere area. But we got out and wandered a bit but all we got was ice cream. XD

Next destination, downtown L.A. Yet again, Nav failed us and took us to the "Fashion District", where no one needs to pee or poop... not a single bathroom anywhere on this shady avenue.

We ditched Nav and followed the signs to Hollywood. Found parking at the end of Hollywood Boulevard and walked. Spent almost 3 hours up and down the boulevard and in shops. We saw the Hollywood sign and the hand and footprints at Grauman's theatre. Also, saw the Kodak theatre.

Decided to eat supper at the Rainforest Cafe. It was delicious and the restaurant was amazing. Mechanical animals moved randomly and there were lots of fish tanks. Afterwards, we went souvenir shopping down Downtown Disney. Shaun has been collecting tall shot glasses from various places and Becca has been buying clothes. XD

Back to the motel for sleep.

Thursday, May 21, 2009 - DAY 6
We decided last night that we would go to Disneyland today!!!! *squee* Lots of fat people, azns, and little kids on leashes. *nods*

...anyways...moving along. We bought 2 day park hopper passes, and got into Disneyland...

     Jerk...

around 9am. Straight for Indiana Jones! Shaun loved it and Becca loved it as always. It will always be a favorite :). Afterwards, we did Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean and lots of other rides. Ate some churros. The weirdest thing they sell there at the concession stands are these whopping, huge turkey legs... o.O. They look pretty gross.

We walked all day and by suppertime were pretty hungry and our feet hurt. We got food and waited on the curb on Main Street USA for the parade to start. The parade was awesome and fun. Becca even got pulled into the street by a dancer to do the twist for a bit. XD

We also headed over to California Adventure to go on the Tower of Terror and Soarin' Over California.

After a long day at the land where dreams come true, we plodded back to the motel. We watched a movie on TV, picked a beach for tomorrow and slept.

Friday, May 22 - DAY 7
Today, we slept in a bit and hung around the motel till close to noon. We then left and walked across the street to the Anaheim Gardenwalk, a mall. We found the tours shop and booked for an L.A. and area tour for Sunday. We also ended up getting our Knott's Berry Farm tickets cheaper there.

After that we took the car and headed out for Huntington Beach. We parked in a parkade, then ate some mexican food. Later on, we toured some shops, then finally lay on the beach. The water was awesome fun with good waves. We rented boogie boards and they were a blast till Shaun's attacked him and he came out with a scratched belly. Did a lot of tanning (burning), then left and toured more shops.

     Left Huntington Beach.

Saturday, May 23, 2009 - DAY 8
Disneyland again! Though we were bith much more tired this time around.

We started off with Indiana Jones again! Ran there from the gates at 8am. Amazing ride. Then Space Mountain and a few others.

We spent a lot of the day looking in gift shops and avoidng the tiring line-ups.

A lot more of our time was spent in California Adventure as well. We did the California Screamin' and a few others. Then we went to see the Aladdin Play which was very good.

Later onm at 5:40pm, we watched the Pixar Play Parade with Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Cars, etc. After that, we ate some food, then lazed at the motel. At 8:30pm, we headed back to watch the spectacular fireworks, which was very romantic. :)

We did some late night souvenir shopping and then said goodbye to Disneyland and headed to the motel for sleep.

Sunday, May 24, 2009 - DAY 9
Woke up early to get ready for our tour of L.A. The bus picked us up first, at 8:30am. We took the tour through Grand Express Tours, on a short bus.

They never told us when we bought the tickets, that downtown was closed off for a marathon so we had to skip that part of the tour.

Our first stop was Hollywood Boulevard and since we had seen that already, we just slowly wandered the few shops that were open at 9:30am on a Sunday. We wanted to go into Louis Vuitton because Shaun needed to get his mom a birthday gift, but they were closed.

Our guide did not really inform us much about stuff at all. Our next stop was Rodeo Drive for 20 min. We got into LV there, but the cheapest wallet was $500 and a tiny change purse was $165. No thanks!

Next, he drove us through Beverly Hills but did not tell us much about it. The next stop was the Farmer's Market. Shaun bought his mom a Coach wallet and I bought myself some clothes from Pacsun.

Back on the bus, the driver took us to Venice Beach while warning us not to eat anything there and avoid the washrooms. It was certainly an interesting walk with all the street performers, the handmade art, the legal marijuana doctor that we got handed the card for and lots of people walking their dogs.

The last stop of our tour was Marina del Ray, where we pretty much only used the washroom and walked along the pier for a bit.

Back at the motel, we ate some food, did our laundry at a coin wash, then went swimming in the pool.

Monday, May 25, 2009 - DAY 10
We got to sleep in a little bit! Woke up around 9am, then got ready to head off to Knott's Berry Farm! We took the shuttle bus from in front of Disneyland for $1.50 each.

Shaun's favorite ride was the Xcelerator, a ride that takes you from 0-83mph in 3.2 seconds! It was awesome! Becca's fave was the Ghostrider, the wooden roller coaster of awesome! We did all the rides except two of the water rides, and we watched the Wild West Stunt Show. We also did some souvenir shopping as usual.

Took the bus back to Disneyland, then walked back to our motel. We decided to check out the Anaheim swapmeet again. Becca ended up buying Pokemon games. XD

Afterwards, we got Subway, ate food, went swimming then got candy from the mall. We also went to see the new Night at the Museum in theatres.

Another fantastic day in SoCal. :)

Tuesday, May 26, 2009 - DAY 11
We took the opportunity to sleep in and relax at our hotel for most of the day till we had to leave for our tattoos.

Tasi, the tattoo artist we picked, had drawn Shaun's tattoo first so the lucky boy gets to go first. After a long two hours and a lot of bleeding (cuz Shaun is a bleeder), he was done.

We left to get some grub at Subway and give me time to prepare for my tattoo. Tasi's drawing looked awesome, so she started. An hour and a half later and Shaun and I both got tattooed in California. :)

Afterwards, we got ice cream and the creams we needed for caring for our tattoos. Then back to the motel, watched Modify (ew), which Shaun had bought and slept with our arms above our heads.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009 - DAY 12
Woke up and lazed around the motel for a while. The plan was to go to Speedzone, which didn't even open till 2pm anyways.

We left and headed for Skunk2, a performance car parts manufacturer. I waited in the car while Shaun met some people, got a tour of the place and bought lowering springs.

When we got to Speedzone, we ate some food. Then let the racing begin!

The slick trax were awesome fun, because it's so easy to spin out, but once you get the hang of it, it's a blast! The regular go karts were fun too, but not even close to as fun as the slick trax. We also played a lot of DDR in the arcade, along with other games.

At 6pm, the grand prix track opened and we were there! We did 6 laps total. My best time was 42 secs and Shaun's was 39 secs.

After one more slick trax race and some more arcade games, we left.

We watched some tv at the motel and went to bed

Thursday, May 28, 2009 - DAY 13
Another day of sleeping in! Vacations are awesome :)

The first thing on our agenda for today was to go back to the swap meet to ask for a refund on my pokemon games. I had figured out the day before that the games must be pirated. They looked different than what they look like on the net and wouldn't save properly. He took them back and gave me the "american" version a.k.a. the real copies.

Next, we headed to L.A. so Shaun could buy some mufflers off a SoCal he met on Kijiji. When we got to the meeting spot and Shaun tried to call the guy, there was no answer. I suggested we go to Griffith Park, so we did.

There wasn't really anything at the park, so we opted for the observatory instead. We drove up the long, wind-y road and parked. There was a better view of the Hollywood sign here than from Hollywood Boulevard.

Entrance into the observatory is free, so we wandered and looked at the cosmic exhibits. Saw the infrared version of ourselves, learned how much we would weigh on different planets and a bunch of other stuff.

Shaun tried calling the guy again and got a hold of him this time, so we headed out. But, as we were leaving, Shaun overheard some poeple and we totally agreed with them. The entrance to the observatory is totally where a scene from Yes Man with Jim Carrey was filmed! So after that, we jogged and took pictures of ourselves.

Shaun got his mufflers, then we rush houred back to Anaheim.

Decided to eat at the Rainforest Cafe again! We got the exact same table as last time, and enjoyed our food again, with gorillas. (btw, on our walk to the cafe, we had a race while not stepping on cracks and Becca lost :( )

Back at our motel, we packed and prepared to leave the next morning.

Friday, May 29, 2009 - DAY 14
Woke up at 6-6:30am, showered, packed the car, and left to eat at Denny's. After breakfast, we began to rush hour our way out of Anaheim and L.A.

Mini story: while in the midst of traffic, we were following a very pretty yellow lambourghini galardo. I pointed something out, being brilliant like I am, and Shaun looks. I look straight ahead, ahhh!!! Shaun slams on the brakes and we must have been less than a centimeter from hitting the pretty car. The guy told us to pull over cuz he thought we bumped him, but it all ended well. (insert Shaun's drawing of the incident).

P.S. what Becca saw was some worker grinding and yelled out "oooh, sparkly..."... That would have sucked, lol.

Highway 1 is fun. And Becca was nice and let me drive the curvy, cliff-type roads.

Stopped in Monterey to try to go eat in an aquarium, but it was too expensive so we grabbed a bite to eat elsewhere and kept on truckin. :)

Oh ya! We stopped at a pull out on Highway 1 and there were tons of elephant seals!

We made it to the Surf Motel in San Francisco by about 7:30pm. Our motel was nice again, for about $90USD a night. We settled in quickly and decided to go for a walk after such a long drive. We walked to the Palace of Fine Arts because it was very pretty and lit up. Then we wandered over to the nearby pier and back.

Back at the motel we were quite exhausted and passed out asleep.

Saturday, May 30, 2009 - DAY 15
Shaun failed at setting out alarm clock, so we woke up at what we thought was 10:30am, but later on found out that the clock was messed up and actually 2 hours ahead.

Anyways, we got ready and headed out on foot. This early morning trek was definetely a work out. We walked up Lombard street, so we could see the crookedest street. But the trek was extremely uphill! Major thunder thighs from walking around that city, gosh.

Upon reaching the crooked part, we saw that the Acura NSX club of S.F. was parking their cars on the hill for a photoshoot.

We continued walking towards the Fisherman's Wharf and ate breakfast at Wipe Out and had a nice view of the pier. Next, we wandered in and out of shops, then stopped at the end of pier 39 to watch the sea lions. Very cute.

We walked to the other end of the wharf to check it out, sat for a bit, then walked back to Pier 39 to go to the Aquarium at the Bay.

The aquarium was really cool! They had jellyfish, sardines swimming in big schools, and the really cool part was the big tunnl under the aquarium. It had sharks, starfish, rays, huge fish and schools of anchovy. They also had two touch pools and I touched Leopard Sharks, starfish, rays, skates and last of all, a guitar fish. The guitar fish is the same as the fish we saw tied to Newport Pier!

After the aquarium, we tried to rent bikes to ride to the Golden Gate bridge and take a ferry back. But that failed because my credit card wouldn't work there for a security deposit on the bikes.

We then checked if maybe we wanted to rent a Go-car but they were expensive. We did find out about a big shopping mall though.

We finally decided to take the cable car downtown. The cable car was very cool and fun to ride up and down the hills. We got off at the end at the Westfield Mall. Got some grub then wanderd the shops.

We finally started walking back to our motel. A very long a tiring walk. Our legs were like painful jelly by the time we finally got there.

A successful taste of San Francisco. :)

Sunday, May 31, 2009 - DAY 16
Woke up at 6:30am, got ready, ate at Ihop next door and headed out.

We drove north across the Golden Gate bridge. Stopped and took some pictures with it.

We stopped at Drive-thru tree park! And drove through a massive redwood tree! Driving between these giant trees was spectacular and everything was so lush and green. We drove down the Avenue of the Giants for a while and marvelled at the beauty.

We got to Fern Canyon at 3pm, and got out for a hike. The canyon was created by a little river running through there for years and years. And now tons of ferns grow out of the walls. Beautiful. Also, Jurassic Park was filmed here for some parts. We also saw lots of Elk and Banana slugs.

Lots of driving maes people a little crazy. We played 20 questions and I ruled. And we gobbled like turkey-talk.

We hit a squirrel. Shaun tried to avoid it, but it was too late. A moment of silence please...

Arrived at the campground at about 7:30pm. The Oregon Dunes KOA was very nice with awesomely kept facilities. And for a tent site for two nights, it cost us $19.19 USD.

We set up camp, then went for a little walk. We bought firewood and spent about an hour just getting a fire going with the damp wood we bought >.< But we got it going and sat and enjoyed it till we went to bed in our cozy tent.

Monday, June 1, 2009 - DAY 17
Woke up really early because Shaun is a light sleeper and the office wasn't open yet so we headed into town.

In town, we got gas and stopped at the friendly neighborhood Walmart Supercenter! Then we went back to camp, ate some breakfast and sat around till 9am.

At 9, we walked over to the neighbors of the campground to rent quads! I got an automatic 250 and Shaun got a semi-automatic 250, both for $120 each for 4 hours. Put on our helmets and goggles and headed out!

Sand quadding is much different, so while trying to go up the first hill, I got stuck and buried my back tires. But we eventually got the hang of it and got stuck less.

It was fun ripping aroun in the wide open sand but even more so in between trees and such. After two hours, we headed back for gas and to buy gloves because our hands were hurting. My hands were dead tired so I sat on a hil and watched Shaun for a bit.

We video taped each other a few times and Shaun happened to get me tipping my quad and flying off it XD. We had fun going over bumps and doing circles. By the end of our four hours, it was just in time because it started pouring rain and we were soaked in no time.

We decided to use the rest of the afternoon to do laundry and shower. Then we went into town for food. Ate at an ok mexican restaurant, got some dry firewood and then went back to camp.

While building a fire, our neighbor campers were extremely friendly, bringing us WD-40 and kindling XD. So we had a fire going even though it kept raining on and off.

Later, we got invited over by a younger coupler to play cards. Matt and Cassie from California. We played Uno and chatted for a few hours, it was cool. Back to the tent for bed.

Tueday, June 2, 2009 - DAY 18
Picked up and left camp at 8:30am.

It was a pretty slow and boring drive to Vancouver from Oregon. We got stopped at the border agian and the car was searched again. Didn't have to stay as long this time, but they did pop open the cover of my passenger side air bag, so now it doesn't close. >.<

We met at Wendy's at about 7pm. She introduced us to her mean doggies and her adorable kitten. Then we left for the apartment. Shaun and I brought our stuff up, then we headed out for some supper at an italian restaurant. Very tasty and very expensive food but Wendy was awesome and paid for us.

    Bed early tonight.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009 - DAY 19
Woke up at 8am because the apartment is incredibly loud and warm. So we showered and went out for breakfast. Then we walked down to a bike rental place. Rented two not-so-comfty mountain bikes and headed out.

We biked along the edge of beautiful Stanley Park, enjoying the awesome views of the ocean and what not. We turned in at Second Beach ad dropped the bikes off. Then we got gelato! Tasty tasty :)

After that, we walked back the other way towards Granville Island. We took a water taxi to the island. We wandered the shops and the market for a while. We ate some cake and cookies then took the water taxi back and went to the apartment.

We decided our next destination would be Gastown. So we walked there, saw Canada Place where all the Alaska-bound cruise ships leave from. We walked up and down the awesome cobblestone street of Gastown which is where Vancouver originated. Then we started back to the room again in the scorching heat of 28 degrees celcius.

We got changed and left again to the Fountainhead Pub one street over on Davies street. Davies street happens to be the main gay street of Vancouver XD. We had some food and a couple of drinks and a few shots. Ended up playing a few games of pool with a random dude who used to live in Edmonton. Right before we were leaving, a random gay gentleman came up to me to tell me I'm beautiful. *blushes*.

So we left he pub, intending to go to the bar across the street, but they were playing bingo there so we walked to a liquor store instead and discovered how cheap booze is in B.C. We dropped the booze off at the apartment and went back to the bar, called Celebrities. We played two rounds of bingo as the cross dressers called out the numbers. Had a few drinks then left after bingo cuz it was dead.

We left Davies street and walked down Granville street. Picked a flashy looking bar and went in. The rather dense door guard keeping scratching our Albertan ID cards because of the raised lettering. We drank more while watching the TV that was showing very nude girls dancing and what not. We eventually left around 11:30pm.

We dragged our bums home, where Shaun pretty much sprawled out on the floor and I went on the net for a while. Then we slept.

Thursday, June 4, 2009 - DAY 20
We only managed to sleep in till 8:30 am. Woke up with a mild hangover and feeling quite sleepy. We showered and sat around watching TV till Wendy gave us a call. Unfortunately, she couldn't get half the day off.

We decided to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and treetop boardwalk. It was $30/person to get in and it wasn't really worth it. There were too many people and not enough wilderness.

We left there and headed for Second Beach in Stanley Park. Drove through the pretty road in Stanley park, parked the car and got some food from the food stand. We people-watched (or should I say, whale-watched) and talked for a while. Then we walked in the water a bit and started collecting dead crabs and seashells.

Eventually we left and went back to the apartment to wait for a call from Wendy. Shaun went for a swim in the building's pool and eventually we got a hold of Wendy. She came over and took us out for Greek food. We all ate souvlaki and enjoyed it. Then Wendy took us for a drive. She showed us English Bay, took us past the University buildings, and then through an awesome, extremely wealthy looking horse area!

She took us back and we went to bed.

Friday. June 5, 2009 - DAY 21
We got up early and waited for Wendy to see us off. Then we headed towards Summerland and the Okanagan.

We stopped for breakfast in a small town where the host treated us like crap so we left there quickly and slightly bitter.

Arrived at the Summerland campground around 1pm. Checked in, set up camp then decided to try swimming in the Okanagan. The water was freezing cold, so we didn't swim long.

Then we decided to check out the town. Looked in their three shops, got some groceries and booze, then back to camp.

We got a fire going and sat around eating smokies, marshmallows and taking shots of Shaun's weird concoctions. After a drink each, we decided to try swimming again. It was much funner with a buzz and the alcohol to keep us warm. We did a lot of camwhoring too.

Back at the tent, the shots and the chatting continued. I had to go to the bathroom eventually, but as soon as I thought about it, I knew I wouldn't make it. I threw up in the fire, then drunkenly brushed my teeth in the bathroom.

In our tent, we were both so drunk we couldn't tell if we were sleeping downhill. We eventually decided we were and move the sleeping bag around.

Saturday, June 6, 2009 - DAY 22
I woke up with a bad hangover and threw up again. Shaun was fine, so he drove while I napped as we headed for Radium Hot Springs.

We stopped for lunch at a random hotel in the middle of nowhere (called Three Valley Lake, I think). Then we took a helicopter ride! A $97 ride for 6 min for both of us, lol. It was fun and an experience though. :)

Then we drove and drove, and turned at a "wolves" sign. It was a Wolf Discovery Park, and we got little lecture and saw four wolves in a big run.

Then we got to Radium, got our campsite, set up camp and left for the hot springs. Very relaxing and fun.

Afterwards, we ate at a place that Shaun remembered having awesome ribs. They had very tasty, good food.

We had a fire at camp, poked it with our sticks, reflected on our trip since it was our last night and cuddled for warmth in the 1 degree celcius temperature that night.

Sunday, June 7, 2009 - DAY 23
     The last drive home.

Leaving Radium and driving through the mountains, we saw 10 deer, 1 moose and 1 bear.

The drive was slow and boring, but it was lovely to get back home with familiar sights and faces once again.

THE END

Giddy Gandalf Goobers

La dee da :)

Worked at Roxy's yesterday, kinda uneventful in the whole. I watered the horses three times cuz it was a hot day, I did filing in the office, I held a mare for a semen collection, a foal had to get put down, and I held two ponies while they got their teeth grinded. But then we went to see HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!!!! Woot woot XD When Shaun and Bryan had bought the tickets earlier the lady told them that if all five of us (my parents came too), that we would have to be there around 8 when the movie started at 10. So we did that, lol. The line up didn't even start till like 9:20. But we had fun chatting and stuff, and my parents came at 9:40. The movie itself, well, I'd have to say it's probably one of the most well done HP movies. There were many parts that followed the book to the word, and quotes are exactly the same at parts. I was weirded out by Dumbledore in this one though... he was much too... springy and quick talking. And I was convinced that it was a new actor and it was the guy who played Gandalf, but I was wrong, same actor as the last movies. Only part of the movie that I didn't really like was the ending, they completely skipped the epic battle part... but oh well. For the most part, they did a good job, I enjoyed it thoroughly :)

My zoo on FB = fun :)

I wanna budget again! And I finally got my papers to Enkosini, I scanned and emailed them. The lady said she got them, will review them and send me back confirmation soon. As for my credit card, I now have $2909 left on it, but soon to add $1300 or whatever the confirmation deposit was for the Africa place. If I can pay off my credit card by the end of the summer, it means I will also have paid for a quarter of my Africa trip already. I've been trying to read this massive visual celebration book on Africa, to learn more about the animals :)

I have also still been lacking in the exercise and splurging on the fatty food. Must stop before I get fat again! No, I just wanna be fit and show a little muscle. Maybe tonight I'll finally do some sit ups/crunches again. Tonight is soccer, and yesterday we should have done DDR, but ended up having no time. Maybe tomorrow night when I'm at home and bored, I will play DDR all night. *shrugs* I have soccer on saturday too, so that's good at least.

Ciao

Lovely lady chairs

Hooray, camping weekend XD After work on friday, I quickly packed a bunch of my stuff, Shaun made us supper, we showered and then off we went to camp. Shaun drove there and back. We went to Rocky Mountain House to get gas, wood and ice and had a lapse of memory as we could not remember where the Cow Lake campground was. But we found it, had to wait 10 minutes for a campground, but we got the nice ones in the trees that have some privacy. We set up camp and discovered we had some neighbors about our age, but that only meant we spent a lot of time eavesdropping on them and guessing what kind of people they are. We sat around the fire, had a few drinks, and then ended up deciding to blaze, and so I ended up quite drunk-high. We carried on till about midnight, and then we went in the tent. High sex is usually quite spectacular, I can last way longer and its just fun, lol, but neither of us managed to finish is the only downfall.

The next day we slept in till 10-ish, lazed around, and eventually got up. We ate some breakfast of dry cereal, and went for a stroll. It had rained earlier in the morning so it was still quite cloudy and slightly chilly. We walked to the beach, sat and watched the kids play in the water for a while, then walked along a little path for a while. Then we went and bought some wood, two trolleys worth for $12. Shaun's cart ended up having one broken and flat wheel lol, so both of us had quite a workout lugging these trolleys all the way to our site which was quite a ways away from the wood pile. We got them there and on the way Shaun asked a lady who works there if we could have an extra picnic table for our site since the one there is stationary and we didn't bring chairs to sit around the fire. She said she could lend us two of her chairs which was awesome cuz she was so nice about it! 5 stars for them :) So this time we didn't have to take turns sitting around the fire on a tiny cooler and a small gerry can, lol. I read my harry potter for a while after that while Shaun did nothing really, lol. Then we played a game of Zombies, in which we decided the game was a draw. At some point while it was still cloudy but slightly warmer, we went for a swim. A FREEZING cold swim that is, but Shaun snorkelled for the first time so it was well worth it even if the water was too cloudy to see lol. Then we warmed up by the fire and to dry off, cuz we also forgot towels. Speaking of what we forgot, the list is long lol: bug spray (the result being that I am now covered in over 40 mosquito bites, with a third of them being on my ankles and hands),Shaun forgot a sweater, we forgot flashlights, paper, towels, chairs, shaun forgot sandals, and I think that's it lol. After wasting time away, it was finally supper, so we gladly ate cheese smokies and some marshmallows. Then we began drinking a bit, did some MASH's for each other, then we doodled our future acreage and the layout of our future home XD Twas fun stuff. Then we sat around the fire and played the either/or game, such as "would you rather give head to johnny depp or robert pattison" as was one of shaun's questions for me, and I said Johnny Depp lol. And eventually we blazed again, and ended up going down on each other in the tent cuz I was sore from the previous night.

We slept and cuddled the night away, and woke up around 10 again. Eventually I got up cuz I had to pee (where I nearly got a mosquito bite on my buttocks). Then we packed up, dropped off the chairs for that nice lady, and headed home. I got to read my book the whole way home :) We went to Shaun's house, hung around, had some food, made sure the fish were still alive, then Shaun got a bit bummed again cuz his dad went on a big rant about how Shaun should just forget about his old car and either fix up the accord or get a different, cheap car. We went to my house, showered, cleaned my room, checked on the animals at my house, then started watching the second harry potter. Ate supper with my family, finished the second harry potter, and watched the third one. Then we went on Farmville (go games on FB XD), and went to bed.

Now here I am at work yet again, with the demon dog downstairs being a bit better, but now a very unwilling to learn young beagle here, who I am told annoys Kelly and Gary very much cuz she doesn't like to be away from people. So I have been trying to keep her in the other room but she can just barely fit through the gate, so about a million times she has gone through the gate and I have led her back in. *sigh* Patience is hard sometimes lol.

I feel like such a blob o.O I didn't exercise one bit last week, cept carrying heavy buckets at Roxy's, so I need to do some exercising this week. I think we're going lane swimming tonight. And I gotta do my ab workout at night. Then perhaps wednesday we can go for a jog before going to see HARRY POTTER (win!). I wanna be able to do anything I set my mind to, which means I don't want so many physical limitations. Strive to be the best I can be, while doing anything and everything I wish I can do.

Woof
